Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee

So it’s finally here! The purple ribbons are on the trees, the bunting and flags are dancing in the breeze and (aside from vast amounts of pre election and Rates admin!) the Parish team has been busy preparing the grounds and Hall displays. Attached is the Jubilee brochure to help you plan your weekend, be it at our Queen’s Green Canopy tree event at Moignard Liberation Garden on Sat with Dep. Bailiff (all welcome 11.45am), or wearing your best hat for the Elizabeth Castle picnic (Jersey Heritage | Discover Our Island Story) or at home watching Her Majesty on the Royal balcony on Fri, including the most magnificent fly-past of 70 years! Or perhaps joining your neighbours for a trifle at your own Clos or street party or heading to join family, friends and fellow Islanders for the picnic get-together in Howard Davis Park, to sing along with Duran Duran, Queen with Adam Lambert, Sam Ryder, Celeste, Craig David and a medley of 70 years of musicals by Andrew Lloyd Webber? Or perhaps a simple weekend in, reflecting on loved ones past and present.
