Ukraine Week – 21 to 27 Aug

This is a week-long fundraising initiative on 21 to 27 August that has been organised to coincide with the war-torn country’s National Day on August 24.

The week of fundraising events will include surfing, beach fun and a music session at the Splash, black-tie dinner, a giant ‘living Ukraine flag’ photo, an auction and pop-up stalls selling Ukrainian foods, fashion and art, and an island-wide Blue and Yellow (dress down) Day to take place on 24 August.

All money raised throughout the week will be donated to the Bailiff’s Ukraine Appeal through the charity Side by Side. It will then be distributed to vetted humanitarian relief organisations operating inside Ukraine by Jersey Overseas Aid.
