Postal Voting option – deadline reminder
Your vote counts.
Any voter can choose to vote by post (rather than in person) in June’s General Election, the reason does not need to be declared.
This may appeal to those who have commitments, or conditions, or will be off Island, which make it difficult to attend the Polling Station (Parish Hall) on 22 June.
Voters must be registered to vote before 12 noon on Tues 10 May in order to be able to opt for a vote in advance by post. You can register to vote here Registering to Vote | Parish of St Lawrence
Next, to be able to vote by post prior to Polling Day, you must submit your request using the approved form, with the Judicial Greffe (not the Parish Office). The Greffe’s deadline for receiving your request to vote by post is 12noon on Weds 1 June 2022. Further details will then be sent to you about when your ballot paper will be sent etc.
Attached is their simple request form for that postal vote option, each voter needs to sign one each.
Once signed you can send a scanned (pdf) copy of it to [email protected] (photos are not accepted); or by delivery to Mrs Nicola Southhouse, Judicial Greffe, Royal Court House, Royal Square, St Helier, JE1 1JG.
