Dog licences 2025
DOG LICENCES renewal reminder issued
Dog owners who haven’t yet renewed their licence for 2025 are being reminded this must be done by 31 January 2025 to avoid a late payment charge.
The online renewal service opened on 1 January and to date, the Connétables report that over 6,700 licences have been renewed for 2025. This still leaves 1,200 to renew in the next week.
Chairman of the Comité des Connétables, Mike Jackson, said –
Email reminders with a link to renew have been sent to dog owners who used the online service last year. Owners should check their emails, including the junk box, for this link.
Licences can also be renewed at the Parish hall using a paper application.
Licenses cost £10 per dog but this doubles if not renewed by 31st January.
Owners are also reminded that they have a duty to clean up after their dogs. This applies to all beaches, parks and public areas such as roads and pavements. Dogs must be kept under proper control and not cause a nuisance to other beach users and must not worry livestock or be dangerous.
