  • Playgroup by Jersey Association of Child Carers (JACC)

    The Jersey Association of Childcarers (JACC) run a friendly playgroup at St Lawrence Sports and Community Centre on Monday mornings during school term time. 09:30 to 11:30 for children aged from 0 to pre school. £3.00 per family with tea, coffee & biscuits provided. Parents, carers, childminders and nannies all welcome.

      The Community Centre is adjacent to the football pitch at Three Oaks, Rue des Corvees just behind the Mont Felard Garage (Luis Gouveia Bodyworks).

      Free parking for those attending events only.

    FAQs

    Subject to availability, the Community Centre’s (the CC) sports hall is available for private events (such as a child’s birthday party) for a basic fee.

    The CC is used regularly by sports, toddler, youth clubs and St Lawrence’s Battle of Flowers association, which have priority for bookings.

    The facilities at the CC are basic and there is no care-taker on site to assist you; a key is provided to you and you are responsible for cleaning any mess made during the private event.

    If you wish to enquire about booking the CC for a private event, please contact the CC’s Committee of volunteers who oversee bookings via their email [email protected]

    Our meetings are held once a month on a Monday from 7.30pm. We welcome new members, to bring new ideas and help us keep this wonderful voluntary group going, which has been running since 1981.

    The Ladies Action Group hold various community and social events throughout the year to raise money for various Jersey charities and organisations which we support, as well as treating our Senior Citizens to an outing and Christmas Party each year. We also organise various social activities for our members.

    St Lawrence has entered the Battle of Flowers parades (summer and Christmas) for a number of years, with senior and junior floats. We are an inclusive community association and welcome all ages and abilities to join in and help us prepare for the parades. There are many tasks to be completed, one of which is making paper flowers which happens all year round. Contact us for more information.
